The Public Arts Projects program financially supports a variety of high quality arts projects throughout Tacoma. This funding can be used for artistic presentations, activities, workshops or projects that are accessible to the general public. Funding for Arts Projects is determined through a competitive application process.
Grants $1,000 to $5,000The Residency Program takes place every summer. Developed as a means to support emerging visual artists, the program provides artists with the opportunity to expand upon their individual practices as well as take part in optional programming within a collaborative community
Entry Fee $35Three artists from the exhibition will be selected to receive a $500 award for outstanding submissions and one artist will receive a $1,500 award for best in show. The awards will be determined by the panel of jurors and be based on the artworks quality of execution, conceptual clarity as well as its relevance to contemporary art and society.
